Hi guys!
I am back (almost).
I am still focused on trying to bring my right arm/hand back to the party. Unfortunately, it is slow going. They are trying to figure out how to schedule my physical therapy. It looks like they’re going to have to schedule two visits per week. The reason is, they can’t work on my arm and my hand and my shoulder at the same time. The surgeon wanted me to come to Corvallis to have my arm and my hand worked on. He wanted to refer me to another clinic to get my shoulder worked on, which hasn’t been even looked at since the surgery. Right now it doesn’t seem like that’s going to work. So I won’t know until August 5 exactly what’s going to go on from here.
One of the most frustrating parts of this is the fact that I cannot pick up my kittens. Flash is not happy with me at all. She wants to be picked up all the time, but I’m just unable to use my right hand right now and if I pick her up, I have to scruff her and that’s not a good thing. When you scruff a kitty you cut off their breathing. So that’s my dilemma.
Because when I’m in the house. I have to literally run them off from my lap if I sit down. Which makes them a little bit fearful of me. They are a bit confused as am I. I am still driver dependent. I did get in my truck yesterday to see if I could reach the gearshift yet. I found out to my dismay. I can’t even put the key in the Ignition. It’s slow going, but I will get there. I promise.
Kota and I are walking every day. We try to go further and further each time. Because I live on such a busy highway, I skirt my neighbors yards till I get to the side street we go down that street and away from all the crazy drivers Thankfully, he is very well-trained and heels nicely.
I would never be able to do that if he pulled me.
I don’t know how long it’s going to be before I’m back to normal. I do know that I can’t wait. I’m sure my cats feel the same way.
The girls are holding my chair hostage!
Can you improvise a little staircase for the cats to climb on to you?
